Full Trailer for BOTH “The Facebook Movie” AND “The Myspace Movie”

Honestly, with my boy Justin Timberlake in the movie, I would have watched it even if it was just him making Facebook status updates for two hours.

But, I have to admit,  the new “Facebook Movie” looks like it has actual potential.   I guess one shouldn’t expect less from a David Fincher movie though (one scored by Trent Reznor, no less).  hat tip: Digital Inspiration

(I love that the name is not actually “The Facebook Movie” but that’s what everyone calls it!)

More of a retro, Myspace fan?  You’re in luck! For you Tom fans -- er, friends -- out there, there’s a movie for you as well!  OK, not really, but the Huffington Post shared a “trailer” from Best Week Ever here.

What do you think? Will this be a movie you’ll be checking out?

Not Gonna Phone it in Tonight

I found this clip when I was looking for the Chris Farley videos for last next week’s post.

This is dedicated to anyone who may have been feeling – or maybe just realized – they’ve been “phoning it in” lately.

Hopefully it will inspire you to remember what it’s like to want to give 100% and maybe find your way back to that.

At the very least, it starts your week out with a solid dose of Steve Martin and a smile.

Just remember: If Rob Schneider can do it, so can you!

This is Why I’ll Never be an Adult (AND why I <3 Allie Brosh!)

click me so you can read all the funny-ness (and watch your entire day disappear as you get sucked into the Hyperbole and a Half time vortex)

This is why I love Allie Brosh.

And why you should subscribe to Hyperbole and a Half.

Right now.

(Go ahead, I’ll wait.)

I wanted to tell Allie I no longer have blonde hair and do not have a pink dress, and to please stop reading my diary.

Then I wondered how someone who lives in Montana and doesn’t know me was able to get access to my diary.

Then I realized I don’t keep a diary.

Huh.

(Just to make sure we’re on the same page: I think this is funny and you should read it: Hyperbole and a Half: This is Why I’ll Never be an Adult.)

String-Dancing Students Celebrate ‘Conan O’Brien Day’

in connect, humor, pop culture by faryl on January 23rd, 20101 Comment

Hand over those invisible strings, Stephen Colbert, Conan has a whole gang of potential String-Dancing companions.

From Northwestern News on Vimeo:

Tim McGovern, a Communication senior who twice interned on Conan O’Brien’s late night talk shows, organized an informal campus rally to support the TV host.

Thanks to Facebook, Twitter and a plug for the rally during O’Brien’s monologue on The Tonight Show, more than 45 students turned out for “Conan O’Brien Day” and emulated O’Brien’s signature “string dance” at various campus landmarks.
