A Giant Gay Repellent Umbrella

Dubbed “A Gaythering Storm (There is a storm being caused by gay marriage and we are all in serious trouble.)”, the video features “second-Becky” Sarah Chalke, hunky Jason Lewis, Alicia Silverstone, Lance Bass, George Takei, and Jane Lynch, among others.

At the end of the video, Jane Lynch urges concerned folks to join them at the website giantgayrepellentumbrella.com.

Not surprisingly, someone’s since registered the domain and launched a new site (“Keeping the world safe from Gay Marriage – Paid for by God and Doctors”), featuring a prototype for – what else – a giant gay repellant umbrella.

More Spinoffs
A (perhaps funnier) side note to the the NOM video, is NOM’s ironic choice of an acronym for their new campaign “2 Million for Marriage”: 2M4M.   Apparently no one at NOM has ever read a personal ad!

Aside from the video parody spinoff site, the NOM campaign has inspired another website.  2M4M.org or Two Men For Marriage launched this month, to

present the facts about marriage equality as a counter to the fear, uncertainty and doubt being sown by the opponents of equal rights.

The Fearless Blogger congratulates both sites on their recent launch and wishes them the best of luck!
