On Love and Aliens

Starting as a series of delightfully geeky amusing anecdotes by our favorite PC, this video ends so very sweetly, you’ll be glad you took the 16 some odd minutes to watch it.

(if you don’t have time to watch a video, download the audio podcast here and listen when you have a chance – there are no slides or visuals you need to watch to appreciate the story)

Humorist John Hodgman rambles through a new story about aliens, physics, time, space and the way all of these somehow contribute to a sweet, perfect memory of falling in love.

I listened to this on the drive home from spending the Christmas holiday with my sweetie and his family.

A wonderful couple of days which left my heart even fuller than my tummy – thanks to my beau’s relatives making me feel like part of their family. John’s words further touched my heart and – this fearless blogger is not ashamed to admit – made me a bit misty-eyed thinking of love and stars.

My favorite part – sitting side-by-side in a booth at Denny’s with my fella and noticing an elderly couple that arrived after us sitting the same way.

Perhaps on a date? I think they may have been exactly the same height . . .
