Inside the Bloggers Studio: Chris Blake
Chris Blake is an example of why I love sites like Twitter. I’m not sure how our tweets crossed paths, but I am glad they did. Chris is a talented musician. I love his music, but music reviews are not what I do best. Instead, to give you an idea of why I <3 Chris, I’m “borrowing” from another TV institution. Today’s installment of Inside the Bloggers Studio will be prefaced by my own “Top 10 List”. [click on the star image to read more]

I’ll be honest with you. I’d planned to write a riveting mini-bio on today’s featured guest, Mitch Wagner.
See, Mitch is an incredibly interesting guy. It’s only fair to write something incredibly interesting about him then, right?
But Mitch had to go ahead and – *gasp!* – upstage the blogger.
That’s right. You heard me. Upstaged. Me. I can’t compete with Mitch’s answers . Anything I could write would pale in comparison. [click star to read full post]

I’ve previously shared my crush on a blog. Now it’s my turn to share my crush on a company: MOO.
When I first cast my eyes on MOO’s cutesy little StickerBooks – little booklets of vinyl stickers made from your own pictures – I went weak in the knees. [click the star graphic to read more]

Exactly. And I didn't even mention the physical positioning of the bodies, where the child's head is located relative to the priest's anatomy, which is itself unfortunately suggestive of a pornographic concept, given the apparent age of the kneeling partner. No. I didn't have to even mention that. Is it really OUR sick minds, or the artist's, or the patron who commissioned the work? I imagine him giggling while wringing his hands, laughing at how many pious citizens will see it, do a double-take, and then quizzically explain the concept of "art" to their curious children while covering their eyes and shuffling them along into the bathroom, or back to the coffee cart at the plaza's entrance. Hee hee.
Ahhhh, lunch at the Prado, being welcomed by an image that calls to mind our very recent shared experience of the ubiquitous pedophile priests. While I do believe we bring our own interpretations that make it pornography, you have to admit that the Catholic Church has done its level best for centuries to earn that particularly unfortunate interpretation of this engraving from just about anyone who passes under those adobe arches into that little plaza. And the fact that the artist apparently forgot to etch clothing onto the little child, but the priest appears fully robed. Ewwww. Happy New Year!!!
LOL! Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks that
An example of “great minds think alike”?
haha! great find! totally pornographic. i mean, come on, you'd have to be pretty in the dark/asexual to not see the porno in this.

I make a point to stop by that door whenever I'm with someone at Balboa Park just to see the reactions!
Yeah, you 'n' me both!
